How many day jobs will an artist work in a lifetime? Far too many. It is altogether absurd and unnecessary that she wait tables, learn the mechanics of spreadsheets, or spray perfume on passing customers. But these are things she will likely have to do. In this culture, there are precious few alternatives answers. But at least she will gain a real experience of life for her day jobs; and she may even fashion a second career into which she can pour some love and meaning. It's 11pm and Grace just got me searching the web for the collective noun for tigers. At first, I thought it would be a ridiculous search and didn't think the web could provide the answer. Then much to our surprise, people have actually set-up webistes about collective nouns. There's even a website called Fave collective nouns ! Wow! For crying out loud! I can't believe people actually take the time to make a website about collective nouns! Well, before our search was over, I ended up having our own favorite collective nouns. An unkindness of ravens A stack of librarians A mob of kangaroos A murder of crows A parliament of owls A wisdom of owls An unease of compromises And when I saw the "unkindness of ravens", I thought that it would make a good title for a story.
