. WHERE ARE THE KEYS TO THE TIME MACHINE? Our meeting at client ended around 7pm. We were heading back to the office to work on the revisions. We saw our client at the elevetors. I smiled and asked, "Going home?" "Not yet," she smiled weakly. "Seems like even if I come here at 7:30am in the morning, I still don't have enough time to do everything that needs to be done. Maybe I should start coming here at 6:30 in the morning. And maybe that's not even enough." After dinner, one of the art directors said the same thing. That even if he comes to work early, he still doesn't get to finish his workload and still needs to do over-time. I sometimes tell the team, "Okay, while you guys work on that tri-media campaign due tomorrow, I'll go and make a time machine!" Or I'd go to our Traffic Department, who's in charge of getting us freelancers, photopgrahers, and our suppliers, and ask them, "So... you know a
. LATEX GLOVES GRISSOM: It's sad, isn't it, doc? Guys like us. Couple of middle-aged men who've allowed their work to consume their lives. The only time we ever touch other people is when we're wearing our latex gloves. We wake up one day and realize that for fifty years we haven't really lived at all. But then, all of a sudden ... we get a second chance. Somebody young and beautiful shows up. Somebody ... we could care about. She offers us a new life with her ...but we have a big decision to make, right? Because we have to risk everything we've worked for in order to have her. I couldn't do it ... but you did. You risked it all ... and she showed you a wonderful life, didn't she? But then she took it away and gave it to somebody else… and you were lost. So you took her life. - Say Goodbye to Monday In two hours it will be Tuesday and I would've been awake for over 14 hours. Wonderful. Fantastic. At least we got good work done today. Thank God for that. Have to go home in awhile and be up for another meeting at 8am. Wonderful. Fantastic. Time to go.
